In other tools that I have used, I could create a prompt to the user to provide input for the query. For queries, I have found that there is a project filter option that will do what I need in some cases. However, if I try to create a chart based off of that query, I have not found a way to allow the user to filter by their project. Furthermore, if I want to filter the query results based on another field besides the project field based on user input, I have not found a good way to do this.

Any help would be appreciated.

We use Windchill as PDM and Subversion as Tool for our Software designer.

Now we want to introduce a Bug tracking Software.

Actually the Idea was to introduce Redmine in our company. But we also plan to change to Integrity between the next 2 Years.

Now the question is, has Integrity also a Bugtracking tool like Redmine or bugzilla?

Hi @all,

we have a shorttext-field "Parameterbezeichnung", which could contain values like "N.17", "B.20", "S.19" and so on. It could also contain combinations of these values, separated by commata. So now we have queries which are filtering over this field, and it works as long as the filtervalue isnt something with "S.". So a querydefinition like

(field["Parameterbezeichnung"] contains "B.20")

is giving me all items where this field contains "B.20", but no item with "N.20" or "B.19" in this field. But the same query with the definition

(field["Parameterbezeichnung"] contains "S.19")

is giving me all items with ".19", so its giving "B.19", "S.19" and "N.19". So whats the matter with this "S."? Is this some kind of placeholder for SQL-statements in the background? We're using Integrity 10.4 with Oracle 11

I am looking for CLI solution how to get an issue field value with the field being a text with linebreaks. (example Requirement Text field).

I've started parsing the im viewissue output but it is difficult to split between fields and field values.

In bold I've marked the output of the Text field.

It is specially difficult if in my requirement text I have line breaks or : sign used.

I was hoping the im viewissue would support a --field="Text" option like for the im issues (query) but it seems not the case.

So the current solution I have now is in two steps:

Getting the list of all fields by a im viewissue --xmlapi and then parsing the ouput for <Field name="([^<]*)">'.

Knowing the output list of fields, parsing the output of the im viewissue to look for value between Field and the next neighbouring field in the list.

Any better idea?

I don't know if this has been asked before, but I'm trying to get hold of the latest version of implementer update program to apply ptfs/our upgrade to 10.3.

Search for "Implementer Update" really isn't going to ever win any prizes, so I just thought I'd try and put the question out there.

I've install 10.3, but now I'm trying to get the installer for others to be able to use. The manual says that its on the IFS /mks/implementer/ptcim, but the version I've got there is the older 1.0.4 which won't allow anyone to install the 10.3 ptf.

I've tried to go through the PTC product download pages, but .. i won't use the word tosh.. they've been unhelpful

if anyone can give me an easy way to get hold of the implementer update 1.0.5+ then i'd be grateful.

For this project I'm installing dynaTrace for monitoring our Integrity servers.

What I want to know is which protocol is using by PSM?

I already know the SNMP - Simple Network Management Protocol.

Is this protocol also used by the PSM?

This is my first time with MKS. We are using MKS Integrity Client, on windows XP. Installation of mksClient.bin runs fine, but anything I try, I get the following error.

Attempt to launch MKS Integrity Client Timed out. To solve this please try the following:

- Verify that the user you are logged in as has read and write permissions to the Integrity Client install directory.

- Make sure the Integrity Client install directory is the very first entry in the path.

I'm able to read/write in integrity client install directory, so that cannot be the issue. Please provide your comments

we're working intensively with trigger-generated mail-notifications for our users. Since some time more and more of the users are working at external suppliers and there is a company-directive, that we have to encrypt mails which are adressed to external persons. Our mail-gateway has an option to encrypt outgoing mails autmatically, if they have a confidential flag (in outlook-mails). Is it possible to set this flag from within (per example) the javamail-triggerscript? Thanks for your input...

I am using MKS 2007 Integrity Client .Earlier it was working properly .But one day when i tried to open it , the following error occurred 'MKS integrity viewset cannot be found' and thereby i am unable to open it.I tried reinstalling but it did not work
I am using the same MKS software as my colleagues are using .But the Service pack numbers and build numbers are differing .My colleagues are able to open it properly .I have checked with my manager that there is no license related problem also
my Build No: 4.9.0.4652
my Service pack no:007-01

colleagues' Build no :4.9.0.6006
colleagues' Service pack no :011-01

Please help me in solving this problem .Thanks in advance

Hello Jayaram,

It is usually recommended that you use the same version as the server that you are on. Your system administrator should be able to supply you with the version of Integrity client which matches up to your Integrity server.

Having said that, there are a number of possibilities which could explain this. Please call Integrity Technical Support if you require further help with this issue.

This is my first time with MKS. We are using MKS Integrity Client, most of us are using windows client. I'm on a mac and would like to setup my development environment in a VM, preferably a linux flavor. I'm currently using centos 6.5 32 bit. Installation of mksClient.bin runs fine, but anything I try, I get the following error.

./si: Attempt to launch MKS Integrity Client Timed out. To solve this please try the following:

- Verify that the user you are logged in as has read and write permissions to the Integrity Client install directory.

- Make sure the Integrity Client install directory is the very first entry in the path.

I'm able to read/write in integrity client install directory, so that cannot be the issue. I do not know how setting up path is of any relevance when starting up the client. Could this be some kind of connection issue? I'm able to launch web version, web services, etc. at the given host/ip:port. Any pointers?

NoCredentialsException while calling web service method

I'm trying to fetch data from Integrity via web services. To get a better picture of the data (), I use SoapUI to call the web services.

However, every method I call fails with NoCredentialsException as answer. I have the needed rights on the project, my request envelope for a call of "getSubprojectList" looks like this one:

Hi,

we want to create a connection between Integrity Items from PTC and packages/ elements from Enterprise Architect. Both tools have IDs with which they can be identified clearly. In the forum I read that there are several possibilities to get data out of PTC Integrity such as using command line scripting, running reports, using gateways, web services, API or trigger scripts.

My question is, which of these possibilities would you suggest when you want to connect one integrity item with one or more Enterprise Architect package/s or element/ s. Is there a way using a standard feature of PTC Integrity which helps the developer to get that task done with less changes in Integrity or do you suggest a self-made program which writes in each tool the specific ID/s from the opponent's tool to help the user for example to find the suitable UML diagram in the Enterprise Architect for an already open requirement integrity item of PTC Integrity faster?

I'm migrating my MKS Integrity Client 2009 SP5 on Solaris zoned server to a VMWARE ESX hosted Linux Debian 7 machine.

Suprise during testing performance beetwen the 2 machine using "si viewRevision command" (no I/O activity, only tcp connections to the same server) test cicle: Linux client is 8 time slower than Solarix box!

Any suggestion to improve Linux deployment?

We upgraded our Integrity system from v2007 to 10.x this summer and I personally am now struggling with trying to remove old sandboxes.

Whenever I try dropping via menu, I get messages like:

"Failed to drop sandbox /users/<...>/project.pj:

MKS125217: The sandbox file

/home/<...>/project.pj is not registered as a top

level sandbox."

I am at the point where I just want to have Integrity Client simply forgetting all notions of old sandboxes.

Removing $HOME/.Integrity* and $HOME/.mks entries doesn't seem to help.

Does anyone know where else information about sandboxes may be stored....?

I have question about Integrity API connection (API Version: 4.12.4301), I am using Jenkins CI server to poll PTC Integrity’s source code repository, there is a Jenkins plugin can help me to access my Integrity top level project, but if I want to check-out a sub-project of the top level project, the API will give me the MKS125212 error message, like below log.

Preparing to execute si projectinfo for #/168/DAP2500AB A/

An API Exception was caught!

The project #/168/DAP2500AB A/ could not be located on the server 172.16.0.19:7001: MKS125212: The project file /168/DAP2500AB A/project.pj is not registered as a top level project with the current server.

How do I checkout the project in “#/168/DAP2500AB A”, not all projects in “#/168”?
