Can someone provide me with detailed documentation on the process that Implementer uses to promote Physical Files? I am very interested in how it handles the optimized promotion process. Our shop currently handles the promotion of physical files to the Production environment manually by running CL conversion programs to add/remove triggers, add/remove journaling, and saving/copying of the data. The general feeling is that the Implementer process is not fast/efffecient enough so I would like to review what the detailed Implementer process does.

Importing PDF Documents
Hi All,
I have a requirement where I need to import PDF documents into Integrity. Through Gateway configurations & mapper files I can Import word documents i.e docx files but when I am importing PDF files, there are no import configurations available.
Any help would be appreciated.

Unable to add ibpl field in fva field as a field parameter

MKS Integrity - virtual machine
Hello,
I am working on a project to automate our regression tests and publish the results under MKS by the use of ATEF from MKS.
I believe that the solution is feasable and i would like to avoid the use of another tool for else.
First i need to install the ALM and then i need to make some trials in order to activate the adapters and trigers from MKS server with my third party tool.
To achieve that, i guess i need to have an admin role on the production server, whereas it is not possible within our organisation (so i need a separate environment to realize my Prototype!)
So my Question:
It is possible to get an instance of an MKS server as Virtual Machine (VMware for example) in order to create the prototype of this project and then migrate the results from the VM to the production version?
Or exists another way to get a separate environment ?

Howto Rename Subproject from lower to upper case
Hi,
by mistake a subproject has been created with a lower case letter "myproject" instead of upper case letter ("Myproject") in the beginning.
So I tried to rename it using the SI-Function "Subproject move" but I get an error message that the project already exists.
Is there any way to do this kind of rename?

substitution-keywords for userdata in javamail.js?
Hi @all,
if i want to send a notification by a trigger i'm using the javamail.js. In the trigger-config i can write a mail-body and in this text i can use some keywords, which are pointing to item-based informations. Example: <%id%> shows the item-ID, <%fieldname%> shows the entry of the field "fieldname". If this field is a userfield i will get the username in my mail. Is there a way to get the full Name instead the username by such a keyword?

Traceability between PTC Integrity and Enterprise Architect
Hi,
we want to create a connection between Integrity Items from PTC and packages/ elements from Enterprise Architect. Both tools have IDs with which they can be identified clearly. In the forum I read that there are several possibilities to get data out of PTC Integrity such as using command line scripting, running reports, using gateways, web services, API or trigger scripts.
My question is, which of these possibilities would you suggest when you want to connect one integrity item with one or more Enterprise Architect package/s or element/ s. Is there a way using a standard feature of PTC Integrity which helps the developer to get that task done with less changes in Integrity or do you suggest a self-made program which writes in each tool the specific ID/s from the opponent's tool to help the user for example to find the suitable UML diagram in the Enterprise Architect for an already open requirement integrity item of PTC Integrity faster?

Integrity ALM Installation - Existing Environment
Hello,
Currently our MKS installation activates only Requirements and Tasks as work items.
Our MKS server manages the repositories, Build for miscellaneous big projects and a ~big number of users (arround 2000).
My Question:
It is possible to install the ALM of MKS without disturbing the current environment?
What is the risk: to perturb the current users/projects/workflow?
This Question is very important for me:
What about the estimated Time to install and use the first ALM with default ALM template?

MKS 2009, SCC and the Windows 7 registry
I am assisting a customer with the integration between IBM Rational Rhapsody and MKS 2009 and we have run into a problem with the UAC under Windows 7 which has resulted in the usual MKS keys being created under HKCR\Software\Classes\VirtualStore\MACHINE\SOFTWARE\.. rather than HKLM. Under older verions of Rhapsody which are not UAC aware, this is fine, but newer versions where the application manifest specifies a requestedExecutionLevel are unable to connect to MKS via SCC because they can not see in to the virtualised portion of the registry.
I am going to ask the client to reinstall Integrity 2009 but with UAC disabled at the time the registry is modified - but I need to understand when that is. So my question is, at what point do the following keys get created:
Mortice Kern Systems\Integrations\
Mortice Kern Systems\Integrations\SCC
Mortice Kern Systems\Integrations\SCC\Provider
..along with the string values for SccServerName, SccServerPath etc. Is it during the installation of the client, or when the SCC integration is first enabled from within the client? Unfortunately we do not have access to the Integrity softwares in order to find out the answer to the question ourselves.

Revision number in MS Word documents
Is there any way to transfer Integrity information (creator, revision number, etc) into a Word document that is stored in the Integrity archive, in a similar way to keywords in source code? We are in the process of migrating to Integrity and this would be a very helpful function. For previous CM systems, check-in/out hook scripts were created that automatically update the properties of word documents. Is there an 'off the shelf' solution for this or have any of you done this before? If not, any tips on how to attempt it?

Determining info on connections
Hi all,
When I send "im servers" I get back a list of three servers, production, training and sandbox. One connection was initiated using im connect, one by logging in via the Java GUI and the other changing the viewset.
Is there a way to determine after the fact which connection was established by which source? How about which viewset the GUI is currently using? Both of these preferably from the command line interface.
